Mitali Zakaria, Partner and head of the Family Department at ITN Solicitors has extensive expertise in all areas of family law, with particular emphasis on public and private children law. She is regularly appointed to act for children in both public and private law proceedings. Her work in acting for children covers a wide range of complex issues including separate representation of children, sexual abuse, Fabricated/Induced Illness, non-accidental injuries, radicalisation, deprivation of liberty and other applications under the Inherent Jurisdiction of the High Court. Mitali speaks Bengali and therefore is regularly instructed on cases representing clients from the Bangladeshi community and in particular is referred to advise vulnerable females by community organisations.
