Following concerns from practitioners about the ongoing need to provide undertakings when receiving digital police disclosure under the 2024 protocol, a new form of agreement has been drafted and considered by the Crime/Family Interface Committee. It is intended that if implemented, this agreement would be used in place of the current standard form of undertakings. The draft agreement can be found here.
ALC members are invited to send any feedback on the current draft by email to [email protected] and [email protected]. The deadline for feedback is 4pm on Friday 28 March, after which it will be collated and considered by the Crime/Family Working Group who will recommend a final draft to be endorsed by the Crime/Family Working Group.
